Greener Valley Stables

Located on an 85 acre farm, near Grafton, Ontario in the beautiful hills of Northumberland County. Easy access to the 401 and conveniently located only an hour east of Toronto. Greener Valley Stables is owned and operated by Kimberly Varcoe and Clarence Peck specializing in care and rehabilitation of race horses, young horse boarding and broodmare care and foaling.

The property purchased by Clare in 2000 was a vacant old farm with nothing but foundations left from ancient buildings. Now with full ownership, Clare and Kim were able to begin the transformation to family farm.

Kim brings to you and your horse a wealth of knowledge and experience in caring all types of horses. Her experience includes:

• Most recently 6 years as an Equine Manager at
  a quarter horse race stable
• Licensed ORC groom
• Broodmares foaling rebreeding
• Working with veterinarians in all appointments
• Regular leg care of horses wrapping/poulticing
• Caring for horses returning from many types of surgery
• Training weanlings
• Caring for foals
• Daily feeding rations and meal plans
• Race horses trained and exercised on premises
• Working with the exercise riders and jockeys
• Scheduling all vets, farriers, etc.
• Many hours on the backstretch preparing horses for racing
• Preparing yearlings for annual sales
